Safari in Scotland has access to some of the best dogging moors in Northern Scotland, the bags of Grouse are not as large as Southern Scotland but the chance of shooting a brace of Ptarmigan and Blackcock is there.

The program we offer is based on three or five days hunting and the accommodation is in an absolutely superb Victorian hunting lodge, and is restricted to a maximum group of six hunters.

Walked up Grouse, Ptarmigan and Blackcock over pointer dogs is one of the purest forms of hunting available in Scotland, if not the World. The purple heather, the muscular pointers, the Gamekeepers in their estate tweeds and the wild Grouse, Ptarmigan and Blackcock all combine to make this an experience of a lifetime.

Each group of hunters can expect to shoot 8 − 20 brace of Grouse per day, but when we are hunting Ptarmigan or Blackcock each group can expect to shoot a brace of birds per day.

If you are a golfer you may also play a round on the Royal Dornoch course, which is 5 miles from the lodge, and if you would like to catch a Salmon there are 6 famous rivers within 1 hour of the lodge.

You will arrive at Inverness airport where you will be met by one of Safari in Scotland's guides. From the airport you will be taken to the hunting lodge. If time permits you will be taken for a short tour of the area. Each hunting day you will be transported by a safari landrover to the hunting area, we normally hunt for approximately 7 hours so you must be physically fit.
