Pigeon and Rabbit Shooting
No closed season for Pigeons and Rabbits
Safari in Scotland use 3 experienced guides who know the day to day movements and feeding patterns of the pigeons in their area. They use combination of three different techniques to make your days hunting enjoyable.
Safari in Scotland has access to approximately 25,000 acres of prime pigeon shooting in the county of Fife and over 30,000 acres in the Aberdeen area.
Safari in Scotland Pigeon shooting year begins in February and runs through until the end of September.

Decoying- This is where your guide has found pigeons regularly feeding on a field, he will make you a hide in a suitable hedge or ditch and place 30-60 plastic pigeon decoys within 30 yards of you to attract the feeding birds within your shooting range.
Flightline Shooting- On windy days your guide may find the pigeons flying from the woods along a regular flight path. Your guide will place you in a suitable position for you to shoot the pigeons; this is one of the most challenging aspects of the sport.
Roost Shooting- Later in the day if there is a strong wind you guide will place you next to a wood where the pigeons will be returning to roost.
Safari in Scotland provide Decoys, Hides, Transport and Cartridges. To maximise your chance of a great day we recommend you to bring camouflage clothing and good waterproofs.
Rabbit shooting can also be combined with all our Pigeon shooting programs. During September Wild Duck shooting is also available.
