Woodcock and Mixed Shooting
Season from 1st September to 31st January
Safari in Scotland also specializes in Woodcock shooting; we use estates in Aberdeenshire the North of Scotland and several of the Islands on the west of Scotland.
You can chose from the following types of hunting:
Walked up with pointing dogs- This is a very exciting sport where you walk through suitable cover with setter or pointing dogs, when the dog points you move into position and shoot at the bird as it is flushed.
Safari in Scotland can offer high quality walked up mixed game and driven white hare shooting on some of the finest sporting estates in Fife, Angus & Aberdeenshire.
These estates offer a great variety of game including pheasant, partridge, woodcock, snipe, pigeon, rabbits, hares, ducks and geese with an average expectation of 8 − 12 head per gun/day. All our game shooting packages may be tailored to your specific requirements.
Driven woodcock- For many hunters driven woodcock is the finest form of shooting, you will be standing with a group of hunters waiting for the Woodcock to be driven to you by a team of beaters.
